👑 Not long after you’d touched down at the airport in Hau’oli City, gotten your luggage, and stepped out into the streets, a beautiful red bird pokemon that Leon had never seen the likes of before was running up to the both of you.
So the both of you were more than thankful to see the islands getting closer and closer from the view of your window. 👑 The flight was long, and honestly very, very boring. 👑 You were super excited to get back to what you’d left behind for Galar, and Leon was super excited to see the region for himself! The interactions between Piers and Raihan, Leon being completely oblivious most of the time, and other funny situations (kudos to the camping scenes at the Lake of Outrage, I snorted way too hard trying to imagine everything).👑 It took a little work, but you and Leon got enough free time for a week long vacation to Alola! Of course, humour is completely subjective and maybe you won’t share the same sense of humour as myself, but truly, I laughed quite a lot while reading this fic. It created a real personnality to him and the other characters, thing that can be quite uncommon in a lot of fanfics. It was very cool to not develop only the relationship between Rai and Lee, but to create a little world of interactions around Raihan. I loved each one of their interactions and laughed (alone) way much more than necessary sometimes. Another interesting point is the friendship between Piers and Raihan. I won’t say more, because there is nothing more to say). First of all, the worldbuiling : the author tried (and succeeded) to deepen the Pokemon lore (which is sadly very superficial in the games.) by adding some details from their mind and I REALLY appreciated (also, BABY DRAGONS. However, there is a lot of interesting points in the work of notavodkashot that make it stand out of the rest.
